sUMMER 2026 Registration
Summer Semester 2026 (June 8th-August 28th, 12 classes)
Students will be learning sketching/shading/blending with all mediums. We work with watercolor, oil pastels and acrylic paints. We will begin the semester with still life summer inspired pieces and progress towards landscape. "Sketching only" classes will learn basics of drawing, composition, shadows/highlights with pencils and charcoal.

Beginner (Ages 4 – 7)
Kids in this class learn the introductory skills of drawing and painting. We work on techniques and styles with various tools & media like acrylic paint, watercolor, markers, oil pastel, craft, mix media & clay. The emphasis is on creativity, exploring with different media, techniques and building confidence. Each child has his/her own unique style and ideas and they get the freedom to work their choices in each artwork. We work with a balance of structure, and the freedom of expressing your own unique style as there is NO must in art.
Intermediate (Ages 7 – 12)
Kids at this level work on pieces with more detail. They will be working with acrylic, water color, pen & ink, oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal & mix media. Sketching and shading techniques are introduced. Above mentioned age is an estimate, the kids are assessed on brush control & blending skills to move up.
Advanced 1 (AGES 10 – 12) & Advanced 2 (Ages 11+)
Kids and adults in advanced 1 & 2 classes work with oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink & charcoal. This class works on advanced techniques with a wider variety of tools to show detail in their artwork. The students are introduced to various famous artists and their style. Age is not the only criteria for this class; the child is assessed on brush control skills to move up. They work with a balance of structure and freedom of their own style.
